About the role
An engineering and building services company in Malta is hiring a skilled Electrician. You will install, look after, fault-find, repair and commission electrical and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems in industrial and commercial buildings.
What you will do
- Install new electrical and ELV systems to the project plans and standards
- Install, test, service and commission lighting and power systems
- Find faults and repair electrical systems and equipment in buildings
- Upgrade and change electrical and control systems
- Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
- Help test new systems before handover
- Write clear maintenance reports and job records
- Work closely with other technical teams on each project
- Make sure all work meets electrical safety rules
Planned maintenance covers
- Lighting and emergency lighting
- Power distribution and distribution boards
- Electric motors and pumps
- Other electrical equipment in industrial and commercial sites
Starting pay depends on your qualifications, skills and experience.
Requirements
- Electrical Wireman Licence A or equivalent, as a minimum
- Experience installing and maintaining electrical or ELV systems
- Good understanding of electrical systems, controls and building services
- Able to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics
- Good at finding and fixing faults
- Well organised and a clear communicator
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Happy in a busy workplace, on your own or in a team
